MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT - Updated April 15, 2025

As we step into the new year, I’m proud to reflect on the exciting developments and accomplishments across our district. Together, we’ve celebrated milestones that highlight our shared commitment to providing the best for our students, staff, and families.  This fall marked a significant step forward in our facilities planning. Opening three new elementary schools was a proud moment for our district, offering our youngest learners state-of-the-art spaces designed to inspire and support their growth. Early planning is already underway to construct our new middle school, which will further enhance the educational experiences we provide.

Our community values were on full display in November with Perry High School’s annual Veterans Day Program. This tradition honors those who have served our country, connecting students with the legacy of sacrifice and service. Since 2019, PHS has proudly held the Ohio Department of Education’s Purple Star designation for its dedication to military families.

With the approval of the district’s five-year financial forecast, we remain committed to maintaining fiscal responsibility and transparency. Through careful budget management, we’ve delayed the need for additional funding requests while continuing to prioritize our students’ needs. The district will continue monitoring changes that may impact school funding and consider further expenditure reductions to delay a future request.

As we look to 2025, I am grateful for the collective effort of our students, staff, families, and community members who make Perry Local Schools an extraordinary place to learn, grow, and thrive. Together, we will build on our successes and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.
