Return to School for 2021-2022

Perry

Dear Perry Families, (click here for Spanish translation)
The Perry Local School District is announcing the return to full in-person schooling for the 2021-2022 school year. With COVID-19 data showing a decreasing trend of cases, we are seeing a growing number of signs supporting a return to full in-school learning.  Case numbers within our community are declining, and all staff who volunteered to
do so are vaccinated. There is also an increase in vaccine availability for the general public, giving us great confidence in our ability to keep our school community
healthy. If the data were to change drastically during the ongoing pandemic, then the plans for next year would be revisited. The current Perry Local School District calendar
for 2021-2022 can be found on the district’s website (perrylocal.org).

We would like to thank our faculty and staff whose hard work and dedication to our students is evident daily, both in the classroom and in the Virtual Learning
Academy. Our teachers are providing an exceptional educational experience to our students and we are so grateful to them for offering curriculum in such a unique and
positive manner. The resilience of our students to carry on under the unusual circumstances of this year is inspirational.

As we head into the final months of the 2020-2021 school year, I would like to say thank you for everyone’s cooperation and care in making sure our students have a
successful year. Please enjoy your well-deserved spring break.

Sincerely,

Scott Beatty - Superintendent
