Perry Local Schools Announces Architect and CMR Selection for New Middle School
PERRY TOWNSHIP, OH (February 6, 2025)
Perry Local Schools is pleased to announce the selection of BSHM as the project architect and Hammond Construction as the construction manager at risk (CMR) for the district’s upcoming middle school project. These partnerships mark a significant milestone in the district’s long-term facility master plan, which aims to provide modern learning environments for Perry students.
The new middle school project is part of Perry Local Schools’ collaboration with the State of Ohio through the Classroom Facilities Assistance Program (CFAP) and Expedited Local Partnership Program (ELPP). This unique partnership ensures that the total project cost of $62,253,023 will be fully funded by the state, with no additional financial impact on district residents or taxpayers.
“The selection of BSHM and Hammond Construction brings us one step closer to creating a state-of-the-art middle school for our community,” said Superintendent Nate Stutz. “Their expertise will help ensure that we deliver a facility that meets the educational needs of our students while aligning with Perry’s vision for the future.”
The district is entering the design and development phase, working closely with BSHM and Hammond Construction to create building plans for the new school, which will be located at Hartwick Park. Additional updates will continue to be shared as the project progresses. This middle school project builds upon the district’s recent success in completing three new elementary schools, further underscoring Perry Local Schools’ commitment to enhancing educational facilities.
